FAQ
How do I book a class or consult?
Go to the Booking and Registration page and submit the request form. I’ll follow up with a proposed date/time (or a couple options) based on your availability.

I’m solo (or only 2–3 people). Can I still do Hands-On class?
Yes.. Because the Hands-On class requres a certain amount of prep work and materials, there is a minimum amount I have to charge to make it worth my time. Because of this you have two options:
-
Private Hands-On Workshop: $500 minimum (covers up to 5 people) + $100 per additional person
-
Hands-On Waiting List: Join the waiting list on the booking form. When I have 5+ people with overlapping availability, I’ll message you with a proposed session time. Price is $100/person, paid on arrival.

When do we pay you?
No deposits. I prefer cash at arrival.
For virtual or phone consults, I can accept Venmo or Cash App.

Is there a virtual class?
Not yet. A lot of this is best learned hands-on.
I do offer virtual consults, though.

Will we learn how to make flowers? Will we learn how to weatherproof? Will we use chicken wire?
Yes! Yes! NO!

Do we get to keep what we make in class? Why are y'all making fish? What are you gonna do with all those fish?
Because of the restriction on time to a 4 hour class, we collaborate on one piece together in a way that allows us to sculpt fast together and complete multiple stages allowing for more techniques to be taught. The form of a fish is used because it's a great form to teach on how to solve multiple types of challenges that can be then later utilized on other types of forms. I have seemed to accumulate a bunch of fish however because of this. Some were donated to the Krewe of Red beans's Hire A Mardi Gras Artist initiative. Some will be completed and painted and decorated and raffled off in this group. Some are available for sale and are priced according to levels of completeness and quality. Some get broken down and the armatures reused in order to save material and space. You could potentially purchase the one from your class if you like. Some were raffled off for Second Harvest with Chef Amy Sins. Once you take the class you'll be able to modify or keep embellishing these fish very easily.

**update: fish are now recycled unless purchased, and no longer accumulated. Some other forms besides fish are able to be used for the class if agreed on ahead of time within reasonable size and complexity. **
